Donald Trump beats Nikki Haley and wins the Republican primary in South Carolina. The Associated Press and CNN say so. Trump’s victory was widely expected in the state that has 50 super delegates up for grabs. For Haley it is a painful defeat considering that South Carolina is the state of which she was governor and that among the Republican candidates no one has ever lost the primaries in her state and then won the elections.
