TSE refuses to rule on the Ramfis Domínguez candidacy case | AlMomento.net

by admin

The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) in the Dominican Republic has once again refused to rule on the candidacy of Ramfis Domínguez-Trujillo, sparking criticism from the political leader. Domínguez-Trujillo accused the electoral body of using technicalities to mislead the judges and provoke a misguided decision.

The TSE accepted a “maneuvered request for inadmissibility” from the Central Electoral Board (JCE), leading to the dismissal of Domínguez-Trujillo’s case. Despite this setback, the political leader remains resolute in his decision to present Roque El Cobrador and Fadul binomial as his candidates for the presidency and vice presidency in the upcoming elections.

Domínguez-Trujillo’s legal team highlighted the inaction of the TSE in declaring the case inadmissible, raising concerns about political interference in the judiciary. The political leader expressed his happiness in bringing forward candidates that he believes represent the values of his party, the Democratic Hope Party.

However, Domínguez-Trujillo also criticized the TSE’s decision, attributing it to a political agenda imposed by the First Judiciary. He emphasized the lack of legal independence in the Dominican Republic and vowed to continue fighting against such influences.

Despite the challenges, Domínguez-Trujillo remains confident in the strength of his party and the candidates chosen for the upcoming elections. The political saga continues as the Dominican Republic gears up for a crucial electoral season.
