Two young Indonesian players train at Real Sociedad

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Two young Indonesian players Andika Habibulloh and Muhammad Iqbal Maulana had the opportunity to experience training at the Real Sociedad academy, Spain after being selected as the best players out of 25 Forsgi Football Academy (FFA) players who collaborate with LALIGA for an early childhood development program.

Andhika Habibulloh was born in Klaten 13 April 2010 and plays as a defensive midfielder. Meanwhile, his colleague, Muhammad Iqbal Maulana, who occupies the right wing position, was born in Wonogiri on June 29 2010. The two players left for Matador Country on Monday.

CEO of The Footballicious Andhika Suksmana and the person in charge of this program stated that the opportunity provided by LALIGA must be utilized well by Andhika and Iqbal.

“First of all, I would like to thank LALIGA for continuing to show its commitment to early childhood development in Indonesia by giving two of our players the opportunity to train at Real Sociedad,” said Andhika in an official statement received by reporters in Jakarta, Monday.

“We know that Indonesia’s relationship with LALIGA is very close, and I hope that Andika and Maulana can take as much experience and knowledge as possible from Real Sociedad,” he added.

He also hopes that this program will motivate young Indonesian players to work hard to become great footballers who can have a career at the top level of European competition, like Takefusa Kubo with Sociedad.

“Real Sociedad is one of the most successful clubs producing Spanish players. Now they can also compete at the top of LALIGA and also have a lot to say in the Champions League. “I hope that a successor to Takefusa Kubo will emerge from Indonesia who plays for Real Sociedad,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Andika and Iqbal are very enthusiastic about this program. They will focus on practicing and follow all programs carefully.
