Jakarta (ANTARA) – Japan U-23 and South Korea U-23 ensured they qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup after defeating their opponents in the second match of Group B.
Japan beat the United Arab Emirates 2-0 at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Doha, Saturday morning WIB thanks to two goals scored by Seiji Kimura and Sota Kawasaki.
Meanwhile, South Korea beat China 2-0 through two goals scored by Lee Young-jun at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, Friday night.
Both teams collected six points from two matches and both scored three goals and conceded none.

China and the United Arab Emirates, both of which have not gotten any points from two matches and conceded three goals, were eliminated from this arena because it was no longer possible to match the points of Japan and South Korea.
Japan and South Korea will meet in the final match of Group B to determine the status of group winners at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Doha, next Monday at 20.00 WIB.
While the United Arab Emirates met China at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, on the same day and time.
