– It is very nice and something we are very proud of, says Tresselt to Nettavisen.
He is the man behind the Norwegian jacket brand Ubr, which has become a big favorite with both Norwegian and foreign profiles.
At the latest last weekend, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag stood on the sidelines in the 2-1 victory over Aston Villa, wearing a Ubr jacket.
In addition to the Dutchman, City coach Pep Guardiola, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg and King Harald have been pictured in Tresselt’s jacket.

Alexander Farestvedt Hem is associate professor in marketing at Kristiania University College. He says to Nettavisen that this type of exposure of a brand is undoubtedly worth a lot from a marketing perspective.
– Considering how good marketing and PR this is for Ubr, you can generally say that this type of attention is very positive, says Hem.
– It is clear that it helps the business, says Tresselt.
Solskjær favourite: – He did us a favour
Ole Gunnar Solskjær also used the jacket frequently when he was United manager. Nettavisen has found several photos that show that Kristiansunderen has worn two different jackets from Ubr.
It is something Tresselt says he is very grateful for and humbled by.
– He helped us a lot. To step into a leadership role as Solskjær did at United, a job many would say is one of the most demanding in the world, and to be allowed to take part in such a journey, says the entrepreneur and takes a moment to think, before continuing :
– It’s just absolutely fantastic. He did us a small favor and presented the brand in United.

Tresselt denies that there is any kind of sponsorship agreement at the basis, but says that they have noticed the interest from the red part of Manchester.
– The club secretary at the club has helped us a bit and been a sort of intermediary, but there is no club agreement, he says.
About Haaland: – Would love to make a jacket for him
Although Ubr has entered United, Tresselt does not hide the fact that they would like to work with the big superstar at their city rival.
– Erling Braut Haaland is a fashion-savvy fellow, so we would be happy to make a jacket for Haaland. I have a suspicion that he has some good ideas about what he wants, so he just has to speak up, says the entrepreneur jokingly.
– It is fantastic that we have got such a star from Norway who dares to stand out a bit, he adds.
Turnover of over 100 million
Tresselt started Ubr in 2009, after working for ten years at Helly Hansen. He owns 80 percent of the company, while the remaining percent belongs to family members.
They mainly work towards the market in Northern Europe and can be found in over 120 fashion stores throughout Scandinavia. Globally, they can be found in around 400 stores.

In 2023, they had a growth of 20 per cent and turnover for the first time in excess of 100 million, which Tresselt describes as both surprising and pleasant considering that the market has been tough in recent years.
They are now well underway in expanding the range and have plans to launch a shoe collection consisting of summer and winter shoes.
