According to the news, 7 ships from the four navies of Ukraine and the United States participated in the exercise, including the Uzbek Navy’s “Slavyansk” patrol boat, the “Yuri Olifirenko” landing ship, and the U.S. Navy’s “Mount Whitney” command ship and so on. The United States also has a “Poseidon” P-8A patrol aircraft and a helicopter participating in the exercise.
According to sources, the exercises adopted NATO standards, and the exercises included tactical maneuvering, signals, and communications. The purpose of the exercises was to enhance the coordination between the Ukrainian navy and the navies of NATO member states.
The command ship “Mount Whitney” and the destroyer “Porter” of the US Navy have recently entered the Black Sea waters. The Russian Ministry of Defense recently issued a statement saying that the military activities of the United States and its NATO allies in the Black Sea waters have increased.
