Ukraine, at the age of 11, escapes alone from the bombs to the Slovakian border

A red backpack on his shoulders, a Nerazzurri cap on his head and a phone number on the back of his hand. When he arrived at the border he showed the plastic bag that he had with him and inside which was his passport. It is the story of an 11-year-old boy who managed to get from Zaporizhzhia, where the nuclear power plant was attacked a few days ago, to Slovakia.

Wrapped up in his blue jacket and lilac scarf, the boy left his parents and arrived alone at the border. The Slovakian Ministry of the Interior itself told the episode on its Facebook profile. “The volunteers – we read – gladly took care of him, brought him to the heat and provided him with food and drink”. He conquered everyone with his smile «without fear and with the determination worthy of a true hero». After welcoming him, the volunteers dialed the phone number putting him in contact with “his loved ones who came to pick him up”, in the most classic happy ending.
