Ukraine investigates 5,000 war crimes. Zelensky: “Russia outside the UN”

Russia wants to kill as many civilians as possible: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his speech to the UN, asking: “Where is the peace that the Security Council must build?”. To then affirm: «The Russians want to enslave us». Zelensky needs a Nuremberg-style court to try Russia for its war crimes in Ukraine. The president asked the UN Security Council to “remove Russia”. The Russian ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya harshly replies: Zelensky’s accusations are “unfounded and not confirmed by eyewitnesses”. For the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the accusations against Bucha would serve to “sabotage promising talks”. Meanwhile, explosions were heard late Tuesday evening in western Ukraine, in the Lviv region.

Kiev: 5 thousand war crimes are investigated

At least 5,000 war crimes committed by Russians are currently under investigation in Ukraine. The humanitarian situation is very dramatic. “Numerous cases of torture of civilians are recorded in the territories liberated by the occupiers”, denounces the Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova who adds: “Children under 10 killed with signs of rape and torture were found in Irpin”. A Kyiv Independent reporter tweets photos of children with names written on their backs in case their mother dies. New hell in Borodyanka: “There are the bodies of about 200 civilians under the rubble of buildings hit by Russian bombing,” says the mayor. According to President Zelensky, 90% of the buildings in Mariupol have been destroyed. At least 12 civilians killed and 41 wounded in Mykolaiv.

For the White House, one of the goals with the latest measures is to force Russia to make a choice between a default and drain the remaining dollar reserves. Russia will have to be “more cautious” with food exports abroad, “especially to hostile countries,” says Vladimir Putin.

The EU expels Russian diplomats

Several European countries proceed with the expulsion of Russian diplomats and the Kremlin attacks Europe for «lacking foresight. Russia will give a pertinent answer, the foreign ministry spokesman said. Italy expels 30 Russian diplomats “for reasons of national security,” explains Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio. The League disarranges itself: peace is made with dialogue not with expulsions, this is the position of the Northern League. While Spain in turn expels 25 Russian diplomats.
