“Unmet: Diary of a Brain Surgeon” (Starting April 15th! / Kantele/Fuji TV), starring Hana Sugisaki, is about a “brain surgeon with memory disorder” who tries his best to treat the patients in front of him. A medical human drama about salvation and the rebirth of oneself.

This time, a conversation between Sugisaki and director Yuki Saito has been realized. Before the first broadcast, he talked about his thoughts on this work.

 

Sugisaki Hana

Born October 2, 1997 in Tokyo. She won the Best Supporting Actress Award and New Actor Award at the 40th Japan Academy Awards for her role in the movie “A Love That Boils Water”. She acted as the heroine and appeared in many dramas and movies, including the TV drama series “Ochoyan” (NHK). Her movie “Eternal Sakura” is scheduled to be released on June 21st, and “Unrequited Love Sekai” is scheduled to be released in 2025.

Yuki Saito

Born in 1979. After graduating from high school, he moved to the United States and studied film in Hollywood for eight years. She made her commercial feature debut in 2016 with her film The Ancient City. In recent years, he has directed films such as “The Blue Sky You Dropped,” “Ossan’s Love Returns,” and “Liaison: Children’s Mental Health Clinic” (TV Asahi).
