US: Senate Republicans still block electoral reform

Republicans in the Senate block for the third time the ‘Freedom to Vote Act’, the measure strongly supported by Democrats which aimed to strengthen voting rights after the squeezes carried out in several conservative states. The measure was blocked with 50 votes against 49 in favor. For the Democrats, this is a new slap in the face.
