New York – “This is an invasion. Our country is turning into an immigrant camp.” Former President Donald Trump said this when speaking to thousands of supporters gathered in Perry, Georgia. The reference is to the immigration crisis on the southern border with Mexico where thousands of people are waiting to enter the United States. The audience greeted Trump’s message with an ovation and began singing “Build the Wall”, the slogan that accompanied the tycoon’s entire presidential campaign in 2020.
“We are experiencing – he added – the worst migration crisis in the history of civilization”. Then the attack on Joe Biden: “It’s the biggest failure that ever occupied the Oval Office”.
“I never conceded the victory in the presidential elections – he added, relaunching the allegations of fraud – because I had seen what was happening”. The United States, Trump continued, “is embarrassed. The whole world laughs at us. But in the end, is there a better place than a Trump rally?” The audience responded with another ovation. He loaded them with a promise: “We will take our country back from these lunatics.”
