A shooting in Konxville, Tennessee would have resulted in several injuries in a high school. This was reported by various American media. Among those affected there is also a policeman. According to the Knoxville Police Department, the shooting is reported at Austin-East Magnet High School. However, the school was made safe.
The Knoxville Police Department tweeted that authorities are at the scene of the shooting. Bob Thomas, the superintendent of schools in Knox County, says instead that “the school building has been secured and the students who were not involved in the accident have been returned to their families.”

In a subsequent tweet he added that the authorities were gathering information about “this tragic situation” and that more information would be provided later. The police urged people to avoid the area. The circumstances of the shooting have yet to be clarified.
