Shoot at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, where a gunman barricaded himself as law enforcement officers arrived on the scene. The Texas Department of Public Safety and Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin told Fox News that one person was shot and the assailant is now barricaded inside the school. “There is an active shooter at Robb Elementary School, the police are on site,” reads the school’s Facebook profile, “your cooperation is needed right now, don’t visit the campus.”
The same school management gave the alarm, while shortly after 1pm local time the Uvalde police department reported that “the man who shot him is now in police custody”. Police said in a Facebook post that there was a large police presence and asked the population to avoid the area. The students were taken to Uvalde High School for reunification with their parents, according to police and the school district.
