Real Madrid returned from his visit to Osasuna headquarters with full points. Madrid won 4-2 to solidify its position at the top of the LaLiga standings.

Meanwhile, Osasuna responded to Madrid’s quick goal through Ante Budimir’s goal. Osasuna only reduced the deficit in injury time after Iker Munoz found the net against Andriy Lunin.

Thanks to this victory, Real Madrid is comfortably at the top of the Spanish League standings with 72 points from 28 matches. Meanwhile, Osasuna is in 10th place with 36 points.

The Course of the Match

Madrid had opened the scoring when the game had just entered the fourth minute. Vinicius Junior snatched the ball from Alejandro Catena in the Osasuna defense area and then beat Sergio Herrera with a right-footed shot.

Osasuna only needed three minutes to score a goal back. The hosts took advantage of a corner kick to break through Madrid’s goal.

Osasuna’s corner kick was deflected at the far post and the ball fell to Jorge Herrando’s feet. Herrando then sent a pass through the goal and Ante Budimir finished.

Madrid had another chance through Vinicius who received a through ball from Antonio Ruediger. Vinicius’ effort was blocked by Sergio Herrando and the ball was then cleared by the Osasuna defender.

Dani Carvajal restored Madrid’s lead in the 18th minute. Carvajal finished Federico Valverde’s cross with the outside of his right foot.

Jose Arnaiz stabbed from the left side and then fired a shot at Madrid’s goal. Lunin was still able to parry the ball.

After closing the first half with a 2-1 lead, Madrid only added a goal in the 61st minute. Brahim Diaz found the net for Osasuna to put Madrid ahead 3-1.

From Lunin’s long pass, the ball was deflected by Valverde and fell to Brahim Diaz’s feet. The former AC Milan player then beat Sergio Herrera in a one-on-one duel.

Madrid moved further away after Vinicius scored his second goal in the 64th minute. Ruediger released a through ball and Valverde deflected it to Vinicius.

Vinicius then threw the ball into the goal. Herrando tried to block the ball, but his efforts were in vain.

Winning by three goals did not make Madrid relax. Rodrygo tried to add to Madrid’s goal through his movement into the penalty box. However, Herrera saved his shot.

Lucas Vazquez managed to break through Osasuna’s goal after taking advantage of the rebound from Luka Modric’s kick which was pushed over by Herrera. However, the goal was disallowed because Vazquez was in an offside position.

Osasuna reduced the deficit in the 90+1 minute. Iker Munoz received a pass from Areso and successfully beat Lunin.
