Webfleet, Bridgestone’s fleet management solution, continues to pursue increasingly higher objectives in the areas of safety for drivers and reduction of consumption, all while looking at the global objective that encompasses these two challenges: the sustainability of vehicle fleets.
The constant strengthening of the partnership with the driver Vito Popolizio and his Safe Driving School is an unmistakable signal of Webfleet’s firm desire to spend itself effectively to give its substantial contribution to the market. For this reason it was decided to make the renewed resources of OptiDrive 360 available for a specific course called ECO DRIVE.
Webfleet’s proprietary technology, based on real-time data detection, is in fact capable of processing information instantly to monitor and evaluate multiple behaviors at the wheel. This allows both drivers and fleet managers to be given an extremely detailed snapshot of the drivers’ strengths as well as those that can be improved.
There are now 9 parameters detected by OptiDrive 360: Speeding, driving events (for example braking, acceleration and sudden steering), idling (situations of stationary vehicles with the engine running), fuel consumption, maintaining a constant speed, driving by inertia, gear shift optimization, ability to maintain a green speed (the recommended speed limit is shown based on the optimization of fuel consumption and road safety) and cruise control.
