Dendoncker grew up in the youth sector of Anderlecht with whom he made his debut in 2013 (171 appearances, 11 goals), before moving to Wolverhampton in 2018 (159 appearances, 12 goals) and subsequently to Aston Villa (36 appearances, 1 goal ).
The hiring of the Belgian midfielder should be the penultimate move announced by the president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, who immediately after the Italian Super Cup in Riyadh had provided the identikit of the incoming players: a midfielder and a defender. In the first case the space has been filled, in the second – if all goes well – Perez from Udinese is the player who will be included in the defensive department.
