The General Election Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KPU RI) has announced 2024 election results. The announcement of the election results includes the announcement of the results of the national recapitulation of vote results Presidential election and 2024 legislative election.

Regarding the presidential election, the KPU has named Prabowo-Gibran as the winners of the 2024 presidential election. Meanwhile, for the legislative election, there are eight political parties (parpol) that have qualified for Senayan. Below is complete information.

The Indonesian KPU announced the results of the 2024 presidential election on Wednesday (20/3/2024). The results of the 2024 presidential election were determined based on KPU minutes number 218/PL.01.08-BA/05/2024.

Based on the results of the KPU recapitulation, candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka was declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election. Prabowo-Gibran won with 96,214,691 votes out of the total national valid votes of 164,227,475.

The vote share of the Prabowo-Gibran pair reached around 58% of the total national valid votes. Based on the results of the national recapitulation, the Prabowo-Gibran pair is ahead in 36 provinces.

The following are the national vote results for the 2024 presidential election:

  • Anies Baswedan – Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin): 40,971,906 votes
  • Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka: 96,214,691 votes
  • Ganjar Pranowo – Mahfud MD: 27,040,878 votes

    The Prabowo-Gibran pair was ahead in 36 provinces with votes reaching around 58.6% of the total national valid votes. Thus, the KPU determined that the Prabowo-Gibran pair would win the 2024 presidential election in one round.

    It is known that the conditions for a one-round presidential election are stated in Article 416 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections. The condition for winning a one-round presidential election is when there is a candidate pair for President and Vice President who obtains more than 50 percent of the total votes in the election with 20 percent of the vote in each province.

    “Elected Candidate Pair is a Candidate Pair who obtains more than 50% (fifty percent) of the total votes in the Presidential and Vice Presidential Election with at least 20% (twenty percent) of the votes in each province spread across more than 1/2 ( half) the number of provinces in Indonesia.”

    2. 2024 Election Results: 8 Political Parties Pass to Senayan

    Apart from the Presidential Election, the KPU also announced the results of the national recapitulation of votes for the 2024 Legislative Election. In the 2024 Election, valid votes for the Legislative Election nationally were recorded at 151,796,631 votes coming from 84 electoral districts (dapil) in 38 provinces and 128 PPLN.

    Based on the results of the KPU’s version of the national recapitulation, there were 8 political parties that received more than 4% of the vote, namely PDIP, Golkar, Gerindra, PAN, PKB, Democratic Party, PKS and NasDem. The following is a list of the votes cast.

  • PDIP: 25,387,279 votes (16.72%)
  • Golkar Party: 23,208,654 votes (15.28%)
  • Gerindra Party: 20,071,708 votes (13.22%)
  • PKB: 16,115,655 votes (10.61%)
  • NasDem Party: 14,660,516 votes (9.65%)
  • PKS: 12,781,353 votes (8.42%)
  • Democratic Party: 11,283,160 votes (7.43%)
  • PAN: 10,984,003 votes (7.23%)

    Meanwhile, there were 10 parties that received votes below 4%, namely PPP, PSI, Gelora Party, Ummat Party, PBB, PKN, Perindo Party, Labor Party, Hanura Party and Garda Party. The following is a list of political parties with votes below 4%:

  • PPP: 5,878,777 votes (3.87%)
  • PSI: 4,260,169 votes (2.80%)
  • Perindo Party: 1,955,154 votes (1.28%)
  • Gelora Party: 1,281,991 votes (0.84%)
  • Hanura Party: 1,094,588 votes (0.72%)
  • Labor Party: 972,910 votes (0.64%)
  • Ummat Party: 642,545 votes (0.42%)
  • PBB: 484,486 votes (0.31%)
  • Garuda Party: 406,883 votes (0.26%)
  • PKN: 326,800 votes (0.21%)
  • This percentage was obtained from calculating the valid votes of political parties compared to the valid national votes, namely 151,796,631 votes.
