AS Roma managed to beat Sassuolo 1-0 in progress Liga Italia. This result makes the Giallorossi maintain their chances of entering the top four.

AS Roma vs Sassuolo took place at the Stadio Olimpico, Monday (18/3/2024) early morning WIB. The duel between the two teams was very tight in the first 15 minutes with very few opportunities.

Roma and Sassuolo both had difficulty getting off shots in the penalty box. As a result, the first half ended goalless with no attempts on goal.

Daniele De Rossi’s troops tried to attack Sassuolo at the start of the second half. The goal was finally obtained in the 50th minute through Lorenzo Pellegrini’s shot from outside the penalty box. Roma leads 1-0.

Sassuolo tried to react quickly. There was Martin Erlic’s header in the 57th minute which Mile Svilar was still able to handle.

Roma threatened Sassuolo through a corner kick. Diego Llorente managed to head the ball, but it was still secured by the opposing goalkeeper.

Tommaso Baldanzi fired an attempt into the goal in the 74th minute. This effort still could not produce a goal.

Sassuolo slowly increased their attacks. Direct play was played, but Roma’s defense was still very solid.

There was no goal in return from Sassuolo until the match was over. Roma also managed to win with a score of 1-0.

Roma is still in fifth position, but has 51 points and is only three points behind Bologna in fourth. Sassuolo failed to move from 19th position with a collection of 23 points.
