Overtime 2021, the Journalism and Sports Story Festival begins in Macerata

The 11th edition of Overtime began today, 6 October, in Macerata, in the Marche region. Among the most important national sports festivals, also this year the event – which will close on Sunday 10 October – will not miss the famous guests. Among these, Gelindo Bordin, Francesco Repice, Piero Chiambretti, Alfredo Trentalange, Federico Buffa with his well-known and exciting story-telling, Maurizia Cacciatori, Mino Taveri, Marino Bartoletti, Franco Bragagna, as well as the director of Tuttosport, Xavier Jacobelli. Also present was the former striker of Bologna and of the national team, Beppe Signori – runner-up at the 1994 USA World Cup -, who will retrace his career, to the point of talking about his legal battle that found a happy ending just this year.

A “Colors” festival
The theme of the 2021 edition will be dedicated to “Colors” and to the meetings, all free and by reservation through the official website: we will talk about commitment, discipline, challenge, well-being and sustainability. Celebrating at best a triumphal summer for Italian sport: from Euro2020 to the Tokyo Olympics. Among the guests, there is also the former volleyball coach, Mauro Berruto, who will introduce the play “Azzurro Tenebra” in homage to Giovanni Arpino, and will also present, together with Stefano Vegliani, the book “Tonfi e trionfi” by Flavio Vanetti, journalist of the Corriere della Sera. Also significant is the official opening of the Festival, entrusted to Luca Pancalli, president of the Paralympic committee and of the movement that collected 69 medals at the Tokyo Games, including 14 gold medals.

From the Paralympic athletes to the Capatonda-Pardo duo
And some of the athletes who finished on the podium in Japan, namely Federica Sileoni, Stefano Travisani, Assunta Legnante, Maurizio Zamponi, Giorgio Farroni and Eleonora Sarti, will receive awards during the event. For sports publishing, there will be Dario Ronzulli with “Sulla sirena. Livorno-Milan 1989 ”, while Cristiano Militello and Nicola Calzaretta will concede to the amarcord with“ The lost things of football ”. After them, on stage the actor and director Maccio Capatonda together with the commentator Pierluigi Pardo. In the closing event, Sunday at 6.30 pm, there will also be Gianfelice Facchetti – son of the former Inter captain, Giacinto – who will present the book “Once upon a time in San Siro.
