(ANSA) – BERGAMO, OCTOBER 23 – The Indian elephantess Andra, who arrived in Bergamo in August with the Circus Rolando Orfei, died.
She was 62 years old, she was sick and was cared for by some members of the circus family who had remained specially in the Orobic capital, after the circus had moved to Verona at the beginning of the month.
Andra had been ill in August: a team of firefighters from the Provincial Command had intervened to help her, who had harnessed her and lifted her so that the veterinarians could treat her. His condition seemed to have improved, but his illness and age led to his death.
