The official resume of the Communist Party of China shows that Gong Jianhua was born in 1962 in Nanchang County. He has never left Jiangxi in his official career. He has served in Nanchang for many years. At the end of 2006, he was promoted to the mayor of Yichun and later changed to secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.

In September 2014, Gong Jianhua was promoted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and concurrently served as the Secretary-General of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China. In 2015, he was re-elected as the Secretary of the Nanchang Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China. The chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Federation of Trade Unions has so far voluntarily surrendered.

According to public reports, in November 2016, Gong Jianhua was removed from the post of Secretary of the Nanchang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. In January of the following year, he served as the deputy director and member of the Party Leadership Group of the 12th Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China. According to public reports, 10 days ago, on November 19, Gong Jianhua also attended the second plenary meeting of the 34th meeting of the 13th Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party Jiangxi Provincial People’s Congress.

According to the local official media of the Chinese Communist Party “The Paper”, news of Gong Jianhua’s surrender in Jiangxi’s local political circles has spread since last week.

Gong Jianhua is the fourth vice-provincial official (fourth tiger) who fell in Jiangxi after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
