LONDRA – The UN Secretary General, António Guterres, today begins a difficult three-day mission in Moscow that will also take him to Kiev to try to give the United Nations a role in managing the humanitarian crisis resulting from the war and possibly in peace negotiations. But expectations about his trip are low, the visit has already generated controversy and the delay with which it takes place, more than two months after the start of the conflict, raises criticism and doubts about the Glass Palace.
