Atlantia announced that Autopista Central, the Chilean company part of the Abertis group, has reached an agreement with the Chilean government. The agreement concerns “a major investment project” (more than 300 million euros) in Santiago (two tunnels, one in each direction, each 1.5km long, which connect different areas in the metropolitan area of Santiago de Chile, with aim to reduce both traffic and pollution), which will lead to an extension of the Autopista Central concession by 20 months.
“Atlantia, in line with its strategy, will continue to support Abertis in its international growth and in its commitment to extending the average duration of its assets and strengthening public-private partnerships”, concludes the note.
