Leonardo Del Vecchio remains in first place, as for nine years, in the ranking of Scrooge Ducks 2021 created by Mf-Milano Finanza and which analyzes the value of the personal holdings of Italians who own shares in companies listed on the Stock Exchange. Del Vecchio was rewarded by the equity investments in Generali, Covivio, EssilorLuxottica, Mediobanca and Unicredit, which recorded an increase in value of 57.7% – data as of August 3, 2021 – to 28.74 billion euros, a value ** equal to 1.7% of the Italian GDP 2020 ** and 38% of the total value of the Italian Stock Exchange. The total value of the 566 records analyzed is equal to 181.6 billion euros as of August 3, 2021, of which 94.4 billion are related to the top ten Scroogers of the ranking, which will be published in the MF-Milano Finanza issue on newsstands tomorrow. On a like-for-like basis, excluding new entrants, the stock market wealth of the Scrooge cards increased by 39.6%. In second place, up one position compared to 2020, the couple made up of Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli: the value of the stake held in Prada grew by 95.5%, to 13 billion euros, highlighting the excellent year of the Luxury and Fashion sector. Among the novelties, the entry in the ranking of Giorgio Armani, sixteenth with 3.37 billion and the performance of Remo Ruffini, who remained in 17th position with a 70% increase in the stock market value of his stake in Moncler (3.22 billion) ; by Brunello Cucinelli, who gained four positions reaching 24th place, with 1.96 billion (+ 127.2%); and by the Ferragamo family, which with a growth of 86.7% (1.91 billion), rises in the ranking from 26th to 25th position.

On the third step of the podium of the Scrooge 2021, the Garavoglia family (Campari) which gains a position preceding the Agnelli / Elkann / Nasi dynasty. Gustavo De Negri, president of Diasorin, one of the world leaders in the laboratory diagnostics market, is in ninth position with 5.55 billion; the brothers Nicola and Paolo Bulgari close the top ten, with a + 123% growth in equity investments in LVMH, to 4.75 billion euros. First among the foreigners in the ranking, the Peugeot family, with 4.05 billion relating to the shares in Stellantis. In 15th place the Berlusconi family whose stakes in Mediaset, Banca Mediolanum and Mondadori increased in value by 31.9% to 3.45 billion.
