Why do you want to get out of Germany and relocate this production to Poland? Is it also about energy and personnel costs or political framework conditions?
Of course, we are also relocating production for cost reasons. But mainly for capacity reasons: We can produce more flexibly in the Polish factory, not only electric motors, but also technology for combustion engines. Depending on how politicians decide on funding, for example, we can quickly switch between the types of drive. We are sure that the future belongs to e-mobility, but the road to get there is bumpy, perhaps even bumpier than many thought. And our factory in Germany had the weakness of only being able to produce electric motors and was therefore not flexible enough. But we firmly stand behind Germany when it comes to research and development; especially in basic research.
