The results of the first edition went beyond expectations: «hundreds of partnerships were born, both during the event and on the digital platform, the real asset of the initiative. Collaborations that have generated innovation, value and employment », continues Marenghi, citing the 2019 data: 7 thousand entrepreneurs at Mico in Milan, almost 500 exhibitors, 2,500 organized B2Bs. For this edition, the offer is enhanced: “we are ready to welcome 750 exhibitors, 5 thousand B2B requests, over 150 laboratories / events, 120 international companies and over 4 thousand confirmed visitors.” Despite Covid, the virtual platform continued to be active: «All the companies that had joined remained on the Marketplace, animated with further initiatives during the year and are reconfirming their presence, along with new memberships that we receive every day. The virtual space, in fact, offers opportunities that go far beyond the Milan event: the digital one is now an essential dimension for business “.

For the 2021 edition, explains Marenghi, the thematic structure of the project has been revised in light of the current scenario. There will be four guiding strands of the event: Intelligent Factory, City of the Future, Sustainable Planet, People, Life Sciences and Progress.
The Intelligent Factory is the seat of the digitization of production processes, the integration and interconnection of enabling technologies and supply chains, intended as a key to addressing the emergency.
In the City of the Future space, urban regeneration and sustainable mobility projects connect with large digital infrastructures to meet the needs of new lifestyles and work.
