Correos de Cuba Invests in Electric Vehicles to Improve Postal Services and Sustainability

The Villa Clara Post Office is stepping up its efforts to improve mail delivery and reduce its environmental impact. The company has acquired five electric motors for use in the five postal zones of Santa Clara, with an additional 12 electric bicycles planned for post offices in other municipalities in the province.

This investment reflects the Post Office’s commitment to adapting to new technologies and promoting sustainable transportation practices. According to the Correos de Cuba website, the implementation of electric vehicles is expected to not only speed up mail delivery, but also contribute to reducing the environmental footprint of postal operations.

The initiative follows the example of other Correos de Cuba companies that have also invested in expanding their transportation fleet with electric vehicles. This approach is projected to gradually extend to the rest of the Business Group, marking important progress towards a more efficient and environmentally friendly postal system.

However, despite these efforts, customer complaints continue. Correos de Cuba is one of the entities that generates the greatest number of dissatisfactions and frustrations among the users of its services. Many customers complain about long waits for the delivery of packages from abroad, and cases of theft and plundering of postal packages are not uncommon. The company will need to address these concerns in order to improve customer satisfaction.
