It’s called iX2 and it’s the first electric BMW X2. With the arrival of the second generation, the German SUV coupé not only becomes almost 20 centimeters longer but also arrives on the road in a fully electric version. The most powerful version in the range, thanks to the 313 horsepower available, the all-wheel drive BMW X2 xDrive30 claims a range of approximately 450 kilometres.
BMW iX2 dimensions and style
Externally the iX2 follows the style of the second generation of The electric X2 says goodbye to the dimensions of the past and reaches 4,554 millimeters in length, growing by 194 millimetres. Width and height also increase, reaching 1,845 millimeters and 1,590 millimeters respectively. Recognizable by the closed front grille, which can be customized with the lightable hexagonal edge, the iX2 is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels as standard but can be expanded up to 20″ thanks to the generous optional list. Furthermore, the electric SUV can be customized with the M Sport package, which also includes external details optimized from an aerodynamic point of view. Among the options there is also the M Sport Pro package, which adds, among other features, the M High-gloss Shadowline exterior finishes, the M Shadowline lights, the M rear spoiler and the M Sport braking system with painted calipers red.
Interni Bmw iX2
The interiors of the BMW iX2 reproduce what was seen on the thermal versions, with the large curved screen dominating the entire dashboard. The infotainment system is also completely new, now based on the BMW Operating System 9 system, equipped with connectivity with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Featuring an intelligent voice assistant that is of real help in everyday life, the system is appreciated for the long list of apps available, including a gaming section capable of transforming smartphones into controllers for playing games, and the navigator optimized for charging. There is ample space on board, as underlined by a trunk starting from 525 liters and expandable up to 1,400 litres.

BMW iX2 autonomy and power
Under the bodywork of the BMW iX2 xDrive30 we find two drive units, one on the front axle and one on the rear, capable of generating a system power of 230 kW (313 horsepower including temporary boost) and a system torque of 494 Nm. The autonomy between 417-449 kilometers in the Wltp cycle is guaranteed by the 64.8 kWh battery pack and solutions such as adaptive recovery and the Max Range function.
The latest version of the Max Performance Charging software optimizes charging efficiency above all. Furthermore, the iX2 is prepared for the use of the Plug & Charge Multi Contract function and the new Connected Home Charging Package is also available for optimized home charging. Also arriving is the Connected Home Charging Package for optimized solar charging and load-optimized charging compared to availability at home. As for charging, it accepts 11 kW of alternating current and up to 130 kW of direct current.
