ETECSA Offers Discounted Cell Phones, but Are They Worth It?
ETECSA, the only telecommunications company in Cuba, has announced special offers on cell phones and mobile phones in its offices throughout the country. Customers can take advantage of discounts of up to $100 on selected models. The discounted phones can be purchased with Freely Convertible Currency (MLC) cards at ETECSA offices.
The devices that have discounts include the LG K41S, the Samsung A515F, the Samsung A315G, and the TCL T766J. The LG K41S, which has a four-lens rear camera with artificial intelligence, a 6.55-inch HD+ screen, 32 GB internal memory, a 4000 mAh battery, an Android 10 operating system, and a connection to 2G, 3G, and LTE networks, is the cheapest among the discounted phones. On the other hand, the Samsung A515F, which has 4 GB RAM, 128 GB internal memory, and a connection to 4G networks, is the most expensive.
However, some customers have expressed their opinions on the cost of ETECSA cell phones, suggesting that the prices are still not accessible to everyone. Some have pointed out that the prices, even after the discount, are still higher compared to those in specialized stores. Others have mentioned the difficulty in obtaining MLC cards, which are required for the purchase of the discounted phones.
Overall, while ETECSA’s promotion offers discounts on cell phones, there are concerns about the accessibility of the prices and the availability of alternatives for purchase. The opinions of customers highlight the challenges that some individuals face in acquiring these discounted phones.
