Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh said Ethiopia is working on artificial intelligence (AI) development and technology transfer, underlining the importance of AI in addressing the challenges of African countries, including Ethiopia. In this regard, the development of artificial intelligence technologies such as Robot Desta will be intensified to realize the country’s digital transformation, he added. The Ena agency reports it.
Robot Desta, exhibited at the Science Museum, was developed by the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute and iCog Labs in collaboration with other institutions. Robot Desta speaks Amharic and demonstrates some feelings including happiness.
