Tibula Energia. This is the name of the project for a floating marine wind farm off the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, proposed by Falck Renewables and BlueFloat Energy as part of the equal partnership between the two companies. This is learned in a note from Falck Renewables and BlueFloat Energy relating to the proposal which has an installed capacity of 975 MW.
Among the main features of the plant is the provision of 62 floating wind turbines, positioned at a distance from the coast ranging from a minimum of 25 to a maximum of 40 kilometers. Over 3.4 TWh / year of expected production, equal to the consumption of over 900,000 households, and will contribute to avoiding the emission of 1.6 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere every year. “The energy transition process underway passes through the development of territories and communities and affects all sectors, favoring new technologies and skills. Thanks to the inexhaustible resource of wind in the open and deep sea, the Tibula Energia project will contribute to strengthening the regional industrial system on which it will engage, in full respect of ecosystems “, reads the statement in which the benefits of floating technology are discussed.
