Piazza Affari closed with little movement, in a contrasting session for European stock exchanges, while Wall Street continued close to parity. The Ftse Mib ends with a fractional increase (+0.05%) at 34,343.61 points. Nexi recovers (+2.5%) after the defeat of the previous session, followed by Italgas (+2.1%) and Recordati (+1.9%).

Realizzi on Brunello Cucinelli (-3%), after recording a new all-time high last week. Banca Monte Paschi Siena (-2.8%) and Saipem (-2.2%) also fell.

A day lacking in macro insights, with only the data on the German Ifo index, which rose to 87.8 points in March, above expectations.

Next week, focus on the US core PCE and the first data on inflation in Spain, France and Italy, which will provide useful indications on price trends. Also worth following are some interventions by central bankers, including Fed President Jerome Powell. The eighth will close early for the Easter holidays, with markets closed on Friday.

On bonds, the BTP-Bund spread widened to 130 basis points, with the yield on the Italian ten-year bond at 3.63% and that of the Bund in the 2.33% area.

Among raw materials, Brent oil is slightly down at 85.6 dollars a barrel. On Forex, the euro/dollar exchange rate fell to 1.081 and the dollar/yen to 151.4.
