For example, employees who experience all three dimensions of burnout are four times more likely to leave the company than employees who do not experience any of these dimensions. And while self-reported productivity tends to be lower among employees who experience only a single dimension of burnout (about 13 points on our 100-point scale), it was higher among employees who experienced all three dimensions of burnout in our most recent survey have an average of 22 points lower.

It is important that a significantly smaller group of employees experience all three dimensions of burnout. This means that it is not too late to help people, and examining the specific stressors offers a way forward.
