ROME (ITALPRESS) – 128,671 reports of accidents at work submitted to Inail by last March were 128,671, down by over two thousand cases (-1.7%) compared to 130,905 in the first quarter of 2020. The decrease is the summary of a decrease in complaints observed in the first two months (-12%) and an increase in March (+ 35%) in the comparison between the two years. Among the economic sectors, the Ateco “Health and social assistance” sector still stands out, which in the first quarter of 2021 shows a 75% increase in accidents occurring at work compared to the same period of 2020. The reports of fatal accidents at work presented to the Institute by March there were 185, 19 more than the 166 complaints registered in the first quarter of 2020 (+ 11.4%), the effect of the increases observed in all the months of 2021 compared to those of 2020.
