Golf is not a popular sport. Golf is exclusive. If you want to play golf, you have to be able to afford it. If you want to play as a member of a golf club, you also have to know the right people. This is particularly true for the Golf and Land Club Berlin-Wannsee, one of the most exclusive golf clubs in Germany, where successful entrepreneurs and the capital’s high society meet.

The association has around 1,100 members. Only 20 to 25 new members are admitted every year. Anyone who wants to become a member must be recommended by two of the club’s sponsors. The admission fee is 2,500 euros, plus an investment fee of 5,100 euros and several thousand euros in annual membership fees. The Golf and Country Club Berlin-Wannsee is also happy to call on its members for donations, for example to modernize the clubhouse.
