Japan: December industrial production revised upwards. But it gets worse on an annual basis

Japan’s industrial production rose 0.3% month-on-month in December, accelerating from the previous increase of 0.2%. The figure was revised upwards from the -0.1% decline reported in the preliminary reading. On a year-over-year basis, Japan’s industrial production fell 2.4%, compared with a 0.9% decline in November.
