Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica, everything you need to know about the new supercar from Sant’Agata

Rear-wheel drive, 640 horsepower, deeply revised style and driving dynamics capable of moving from everyday traffic to the curbs of the track. The new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica adds a long novelty to the compact model of the Sant’Agata brand, starting with a design capable of radically updating it. With the same engine as the Huracan Sto and an increase of 30 horsepower compared to the rear-wheel drive (RWD) Huracan Evo, the Tecnica unloads a torque of 565 Nm to the ground on the rear wheels at a maximum speed of 6,500 rpm and guarantees a acceleration improved from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds.

Lamborghini Huracan Technique, style and dimensions

La Tecnica introduces a profoundly revised style to the Huracan range, presenting a series of innovations starting with the new front where a new bumper makes its debut that incorporates the Y design of the Third Millennium and integrates for the first time an air curtain on a Huracán model. The new front splitter, with open and lower sipes, which channel air through the wheels, helps to improve downforce and cooling. 6 centimeters longer than the Huracan Evo, despite the same height and width it appears lower and wider, with a silhouette inspired by the lines of the Daylight Opening-style crystals of the Essenza Scv12 developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. The black of the front Y pattern continues on the flanks to the side air intakes, while the roof, in the same color as the body, is also available as an option in black. There are also many innovations at the rear, which include a new vertical rear window that offers better visibility, while the redesigned engine hood in lightweight carbon fiber makes the V10 even more visible. The rear of the car features a new bumper with optimized air intake and a diffuser in body color or, optionally, in black; all combined with new hexagonal tailpipes. The fixed rear wing completes the Tecnica profile, while its aerodynamic design contributes substantially to a 35% improvement in rear downforce compared to the Huracán Evo Rwd without increasing aerodynamic drag, which is actually reduced by 20%, with an improvement aerodynamic balance, greater braking stability and more cornering speed. The underbody has also been optimized thanks to new aerodynamic deflectors that increase aerodynamic efficiency. The new 20 ” diamond-cut Damiso rims, inspired by the Lamborghini Vision Gt, feature a hexagonal design and are fitted with Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires.

Engine and driving dynamics

The Huracán Tecnica is equipped with a 5.2-liter engine that delivers 640 horsepower, just like the STO, and 565 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Thanks to a dry weight of 1,379 kg, the Emilian coupe declares a weight-to-power ratio of 2.15 kg / hp. The increased power is matched by an engine with a more powerful and clearer sound at maximum revs, while inside the passenger compartment the Tecnica ensures greater acoustic comfort.

Every aspect of the car’s dynamic behavior is controlled by the LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) system, integrating systems and configurations to ensure a pre-control in “feed-forward” logic substantially in real time, to ensure optimal driving dynamics. Rear-wheel drive Technique integrates a rear-wheel steering system with a direct steering ratio and torque split, along with the modified Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) and a specific suspension configuration.

Connected internals

On board, the Tecnica presents a redesigned equipment. The instrument cluster reduces colors and improves legibility thanks to a new wide arch that opens in front of the driver. The center tunnel screen includes Ldvi functions displayed in real time and all connectivity functions, such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa. As already appreciated on the Sto, the on-board system includes connected telemetry and logbooks that record destinations and times on the track, connected to the Unica app. New features include height-adjustable sports seats: Available options include carbon fiber doors, lightweight titanium wheel bolts and special 4-point seat belts for those who will use the mainly on the track.
