The industry and information and communication industries have completed the main goals and tasks for the whole year.
From January to October, my country’s industrial enterprises above designated size achieved a year-on-year increase of 42.2% in profits. The added value of manufacturing in the first three quarters increased to 27.4% of GDP, and my country’s industrial economy continued to resume growth. At the same time, the resilience of my country’s industrial chain supply chain has been improved, the key industrial chains have been steadily promoted, and the industrial structure has been further optimized and upgraded. The annual output of crude steel has been reduced by more than 20 million tons. Consumption fell by 5.4% year-on-year, and the leading role of high-tech manufacturing and equipment manufacturing increased.
Since the beginning of this year, the high-quality development of my country’s information and communication industry has also achieved new results. More than 1.3 million 5G base stations have been built and opened, and 5G terminal users have reached 497 million. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that the current industry and information and communication industries have completed the main objectives and tasks of the year and achieved a good start to the “14th Five-Year Plan”.
