From a minimum of 50 to around 180 euros for each child, with a surcharge from the third child. It is the amount of the single allowance that should be fixed, according to what is learned from ministerial sources, by the implementing decree expected in the CDM next week. The allowance will be calculated on the basis of the ISEE and will range from 50 euros for the highest incomes up to 180 euros for the lowest, which from the third child onwards can reach up to about 250-260 euros for each child. There will also be a surcharge if both parents work, a reward desired by the Minister of the Family Elena Bonetti to push female work.
Applications from January 2022 and first disbursements from March. This is the road map with which the single universal check should become fully operational. When fully operational, as Avvenire anticipates, the check will always be paid from March to March of each year. “Not a postponement” of the measure, ministerial sources explain, but a choice linked to the need to allow families to present the previous year’s ISEE, on which the allowance is measured. For 2022, to avoid 2 months overdraft, the ‘bridge’ allowance and family allowances in force today will be extended in January and February.
About half of Italian families should be entitled to the maximum amount of the universal single allowance for children, which will come into force next year. This is what ministerial sources explain, based on Istat data according to which about half of Italian families have an ISEE of up to 15 thousand euros.
