Spectrum Markets breaks the threshold of 100 million certificates traded in a single month, + 52% of volumes in the fourth quarter

The positive momentum of the activities of Spectrum Markets. In the latest Quarterly Business Update, published by the pan-European certificate exchange, the volume of trading in the fourth quarter of 2021 grew by 52% compared to the previous year. In fact, from October to December 259 million certificates were traded on the stock exchange, up sharply compared to the 171 million in the same period of the previous year, underlining the continued strong growth of the company.

During the quarter, Spectrum also broke the 100 million certificates changed hands in a single month, with volumes exceeding 106 million in November, while trading associated with turbo warrants on single shares launched in September continues to increase.

“Scoring another record quarter was a great way to end the year and underscores the strength of our growth ambitions for 2022 and beyond,” he explains. During the fourth quarter of 2021, 35.8% of individual exchanges took place outside traditional hours (i.e. between 17:30 and 9:00 CET). 83.8% of volumes involved instruments having indices as underlying, 8.8% currency pairs, 5.9% commodities and 1.5% individual shares, with the underlying most traded: DAX 40 (21.7%), NASDAQ 100 (21.4%) and OMX 30 (14.7%).
