The Schwarz Group does not want to be dependent on US providers, said Chrzanowski. Not only for reasons of data security, but also for financial considerations: As a discounter, Schwarz has to keep its costs low over the long term. “The bills and price increases from US service providers clearly showed the dependency,” argues Chrzanowski. “Anyone who is dependent has to pay.”
