IG Group, a global leader in online trading, has announced its commitment to donate the equivalent of 1% of the profits of the previous financial year, net of taxes, every year to charitable initiatives, in the period 2022-2025 . The initiative will take the form of a payment approved by the Board of Directors in favor of IG’s “Brighter Future Fund”, and will also include employee volunteering activities. These contributions aim to promote empowerment through education, with a focus on financial education and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

“Supporting people’s aspirations is a topic that we at IG are particularly fond of. Providing more resources to our customers through knowledge has always been a central part of what we do. We believe that a growing understanding of all aspects of trading allows them to invest with awareness. We also have a desire to support ambitious people and those who live in the communities in which we operate, ”said June Felix, IG Group’s Global CEO. “This new initiative – continues the CEO – is part of our current commitment to play an active role in helping to improve the future of young people around the world – inspiring them to explore the various possibilities and thus exploit their potential in life through learning”.

“The gap in global well-being, which has already been steadily increasing for years, has been accelerated by the pandemic,” said Jon Noble, Chief Operating Officer, IG Group. “By supporting philanthropic programs – especially in the area of financial education, IG aims to offer equal opportunities for all, particularly for traditionally underrepresented groups, to enable them to access more financial and professional opportunities.”
