Things look different behind closed doors, says an industry insider who doesn’t want to be named. It is time for the industry to defend itself as one. Because it is easier to list the platforms that support artists than those that exploit the industry. TikTok is by no means an isolated case. If so, at least that’s how Universal Music sees it in its “open letter”, probably a particularly bad one.
