Volkswagen, the future is only electric. A real turning point that will make it possible to comply with the CO2 emission reduction targets set by the European Community, but which is in tune with the ambitions of the group that aims at leadership in a sector that will revolutionize mobility in the coming years. To achieve the goal, 50 models with electric motorization had been planned at the beginning. Later the bar was raised to reach 70 models and to go from 15 to 22 million units produced. Q6 e-tron, A6 e-tron and Audi’s electric sports cars
The automotive giant, Audi, will be strong in the coming years to make a clear turn towards the electric car. At the moment the group offers 3 electric models in the range, but one in particular the Q4 e-tron is destined to become the brand’s flagship model. Incoming EV models are the Q6 e-tron, slightly larger than the Q5, but with space like the Q7. Powers between 250 and 500 hp and ranges from 400 to 650 km in addition to the Sportback version. A new battery-powered urban crossover for Skoda
Skoda already has the Enyaq electric crossover in the range which in 2022 will be joined by the coupe version, while the following year will be the turn of the zero-emission variant of the Scala and an accessible mini urban crossover of around 20 thousand euros. Then it will be the turn of the close relative of the ID3 from which it will stand out for the simply clever solutions typical of all Skodas. Skoda’s new electric medium will focus in particular on practicality and will offer this model with a level of quality typical of the premium offer, but always available at constantly competitive list prices.
The heir to the Seat Arona will be electrically powered
For the Seat group after the newborn Cupra Born, the range of battery models will be completed by the mini electric crossover that will arrive in 2025. With a length between 420 and 425 cm, the car will offer room for 5 passengers plus a large trunk with capacity that could reach 380 liters. The design will make it resemble the Arona in terms of proportions, but a sharper and more decisive look, with a flat roof and a sloping rear window. Extensive customizations and wheels that can reach up to 18 inches, batteries from 35 to 55 kWh, powers from 100 to 150 hp and ranges from 250 to 420 km.
ID.Life the concept that anticipates the Vw battery-powered city car
Volkswagen will also launch its own dedicated model into the fray of small electric cars. He anticipated it at the Munich Auto Show with the ID.Life concept. The production car estimated on the market in 2025 could also arrive with exterior mirrors equipped with a camera to also improve the car’s aerodynamic coefficient. In terms of engines, we could expect versions from 100-130 hp, batteries with capacities between 40 and 60 kWh for ranges between 350 or 450 km. Finally, the list price, which will naturally be affordable, is for the moment only estimated to be just below or just above 20 thousand euros.
