China Central Radio and Television’s “2024 Spring Festival Opera Gala” completed pre-recording in Deyang, Sichuan
The highly anticipated China Central Radio and Television Station’s 2024 Spring Festival Opera Gala has recently completed its pre-recording in Deyang, Sichuan. The gala is set to be broadcast on the CCTV Comprehensive Channel during the upcoming Spring Festival.
With the theme of “Longxing Jiuzhou Blessings Gathering Around the World“, this year’s Spring Festival Opera Gala promises to be a breathtaking showcase of Chinese culture. More than 20 opera types from over 60 academies and schools across the country will be featured, alongside over a hundred opera artists and outstanding young actors. The event has also attracted advanced workers in the industry and a vast audience of theater fans.
Dong Yi, chief director of China Central Radio and Television’s “2024 Spring Festival Opera Gala”, expressed excitement about the upcoming broadcast. “This year also continued the overall atmosphere of last year’s successful immersive Spring Festival opera show that combined local cultural tourism and culture and was welcomed and loved by the people. Therefore, we moved the overall show to Deyang, Sichuan to record,” Dong Yi said.
The gala will feature 11 creative programs as its main body, showcasing a range of visual scenes including an open-air main venue, an ancient stage with regional characteristics, and an extended stage utilizing digital technology and technological means. This will fully embody the station’s “idea + art + technology” concept.
“It not only includes the favorite famous plays of ordinary people and theater fans, which is indispensable, but also has the power of inheritance from four generations, old, middle, young and young, allowing us to feel the passing on of the art of opera from generation to generation,” Dong Yi added.
