Actress Yael Duval speaks out on ongoing gender violence in Mexico: “A Cry for Help”

Actress Yael Duval, known for her role in the Televisa series ‘Vecinos,’ has spoken out about the ongoing nightmare she faces as a victim of gender violence in Mexico. Duval, who previously denounced the abuse she suffered at the hands of her ex-partner, Anuar ‘N,’ has revealed that she continues to live in fear for her life and the safety of her two children.

Despite her successful acting career, which began with a role in the soap opera ‘To Love Again’ in 2011 and later landed her the role of Alondra in ‘Vecinos,’ Duval has faced a harrowing ordeal at the hands of her ex-partner. In a recent interview, she opened up about the threats and violence she has endured since separating from him in 2018.

Duval has accused her ex-partner of using his financial power to evade justice, buying off lawyers, prosecutors, and officials involved in her case. She has also accused the authorities in Mexico of failing to protect her and her children from the ongoing threats she faces.

Despite legal action being taken against Anuar ‘N,’ including being labeled as a danger to society and a probable feminicide, he remains free and continues to harass and threaten Duval. She has spoken out in the media in a bid to draw attention to her situation and hold her ex-partner accountable for his actions.

The actress has joined the voices of many women in Mexico who are victims of gender violence, highlighting the urgent need for better protection and support for victims. As she continues to fight for justice and safety for herself and her children, Duval’s story sheds light on the alarming prevalence of gender violence and femicides in Mexico.
