Apple Ventures into Film Industry with Upcoming Blockbusters

Apple is making its mark in the film industry with the upcoming release of three blockbuster movies, each with a production cost of up to US$200 million. The tech giant, known for its deep pockets, is venturing into the streaming media arena with its newly established Apple Films. Unlike traditional studios, Apple Films is not expected to face harsh criticisms, making it an upstart to watch in the industry.

The three highly-anticipated movies in the pipeline include Lao Ma’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” Lao Lei’s “Napoleon,” and Matthew Vaughn’s “Argyle.” Vaughn, best known for his work on “Kingsman,” brings his directorial expertise to “Argyle,” which features a star-studded cast including Bryce Dallas Howard, Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Brian Colan, Samuel L. Jackson, and Sister Pa. Even the furry feline co-star of the film comes from none other than world-class supermodel Claudia Schiffer, who happens to be Vaughn’s wife.

However, the production has not been without its controversies. “Argyle” received a low Cinema Score of C+, and there are concerns about the welfare of the cat featured in the film, which is owned by Vaughn and Schiffer. Despite the mixed initial reception, the film is set to be released in theaters by Universal Pictures, with an online release date on Apple TV+ yet to be determined.

Industry experts remain curious to see how Apple’s foray into the film industry will pan out, and eagerly anticipate the release of these high-budget blockbusters in the coming months.
