The film “Avatar 2” directed by Cameron is now titled “Avatar: The Way Of Water” and will be released in North America on December 16, 2022 and overseas on December 14, 2022 .Meanwhile, Disney will re-release the 2009 film “Avatar 1” worldwide on September 23, 2022, with remastered audio/video.
Producer Jon Landau revealed on stage that Jake and Neytiri’s family will be at the center of the four sequels. Each film will be a stand-alone story, but they will all be connected to each other to tell a larger story.
Audiences at CinemaCon 2022 also got to see a trailer for Avatar 2: Water Road, which is mostly a sex clip showing the world and lots of underwater footage. Jack told Neytiri that no matter where they went or what happened, their family was their fortress.
A new trailer for “Avatar 2” will be released exclusively in theaters on May 6 with the “Doctor Strange 2” patch, before being released online a week later.
