Christian Bale says he will only return if Christopher Nolan invites him to play Batman again. By the end of the Dark Knight trilogy, the actor may have put away his cape, but he hasn’t quite given up on the idea of playing Batman again. In an interview with ComicBook, Bell admitted that he would consider returning as Batman, but with one condition: The director would have to be Nolan.

Although Bell is willing to continue working with Chris Nolan, Bell himself has confirmed that no one has contacted him to play Batman again, including Nolan.
“For me, it’s going to be Nolan’s problem. If he decides to do it again, if he chooses to come to me again, then yes, I’ll consider it because it’s always been a deal between us and we’re going to stick with it. . We said we’d only make three. Then I said to myself, I’m only going to be with Chris.”
Bell played Bruce Wayne/Batman in the “Batman: Mystery”, “Batman: The Dark Knight” and “Batman: The Dark Knight Rises” trilogy, which concluded in 2012. Warner Bros. later recommended Bell for a fourth Batman movie, but he turned it down, out of respect for Nolan, who had always envisioned his story as a trilogy.
But Bell is still pushing ahead with a comic book adaptation, as he recently starred in Marvel’s “Thor 4” film as the villain, Godslayer Goll.
