As the maiden voyage draws near, The Walt Disney Company has released more details about its upcoming fifth cruise ship, Disney Wish.The cruise ship will feature Disney’s first-ever sea ride, the AquaMouse, as well as six swimming pools, original theatrical productions, fireworks, a Marvel Superhero Academy for kids, a Star Wars lounge for adults, and a dedicated Star Wars lounge for adults. Daredevil themed obstacle course set up by the family.

The Disney Wish cruise ship, dubbed the “Castle by the Sea,” is scheduled to set sail on July 14 for its maiden voyage after being delayed from June 9 due to the coronavirus pandemic. As expected from a Disney vacation, Disney Wish cruises have a variety of options to help keep kids entertained, young and young at heart.

Disney Wish cruises include the Heroes Zone. This is an active play area and it will be a fully enclosed, air-conditioned sports field. It will include events such as Incredi-Games, a family game show featuring a Superman-inspired obstacle course, and Jack-Jack’s Super Diaper Race, a baby crawl race. There is also the Royal Picnic with Olaf. Families with children ages 3 to 12 can join Frozen characters Olaf, Anna, Elsa and Christopher for a summer picnic in Arendelle with Let It Go, In Summer, Reindeers Are Better Than Live performances by People and Fixer Upper. Kids will get souvenirs like a troll stuffed animal, a picnic blanket and an Arendelle mandolin.

Marvel Superhero Academy. There’s an Avengers headquarters on board as part of the kids’ ocean club. There is also a fairy tale hall. This area will include Belle’s library, Anna and Elsa’s summer house, and Rapunzel’s art class. Fantasy Engineering class, where kids can learn how to design their own roller coaster. Disney Wish cruises also offer the AquaMouse attraction, which will feature a new Mickey Mouse animated short, Scuba Scramble. The 760-foot-long water ride will take you around the top deck and includes interactive aquatic elements, audio, video, lighting, show sets and special effects. Disney says you’ll be on an adventure in the Mermaid Lagoon. The top deck also features a Toy Story splash zone, six swimming pools and casual dining in the Mickey and Friends area.

The Disney Wish cruise ship features the Walt Disney Theater. The main theater will feature Aladdin the Musical, featuring new songs by Jasmine; original productions from The Little Mermaid, including projections and puppet shows; and boarding day performances, featuring Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Tiana, Elsa , Merida, Moana, Hercules, Nemo, Smasher, Squealer and many more Disney and Pixar characters.

Disney Wish is also moving closer to a Pixar movie, with a new candy store opening on February 17. Inside Out: Joyful Sweets will feature Pixar-inspired desserts, including 40 flavors of artisan ice cream and ice cream, as well as whipped cream, jam, candy, macarons, cake bars, petit fours themed around the five key emotions, truffles, Cookies, brownies, chocolate memory balls and other treats. The store looks like the emotional control center in Riley’s head in the movie “The Insider,” with statues of joy, sadness, fear, disgust and anger, and lighting fixtures that look like memory balls.

Tickets for Disney Wish’s inaugural voyage are now available for pre-order online, with the inaugural voyage scheduled for July 14, 2022. Following the maiden voyage, there will be a season of three- and four-night cruises to Disney’s new private islands, Castaway Cay, Nassau and the Bahamas, and Disney Wish will depart from Port Canaveral, Florida.
